realme has shaken the mobile photography landscape with its cutting-edge realme Interchangeable-lens Concept at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona 2025! Our team managed to have a closer look at it and this is a short summary of what we think.
It is no doubt that the interchangeable-lens concept will be a game changer for mobile photography in the future. It allows users to swap and attach any lenses, ranging from wide-angle to telephoto. The reason the device could attach any lenses directly to a smartphone is due to its 1-inch customized Sony sensor paired with a proprietary lens mount system. This instantly addresses major limitations of smartphone cameras – fixed focal lengths.
The interchangeable-lens concept truly makes picture look sharper, brighter and more realistic bokeh effect. There is barely to none noticeable noise, even in low light conditions.
While it’s only a prototype for now, this concept shows that realme is serious about pushing the boundaries of mobile photography.
