Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro Debut at MWC Barcelona 2025

Nothing has made a significant splash at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, revealing its highly anticipated Nothing Phone (3a) and Nothing Phone (3a) Pro. These new additions to the Nothing lineup offer a compelling blend of performance, innovative features, and the brand’s signature transparent design. Both devices share many core features but the (3a) Pro’s camera system is significantly more advanced.

Contrast in Camera System, Setup

Nothing has placed a strong emphasis on camera improvements in the (3a) series. Both models boast a 50MP main camera, delivering crisp and vibrant images. However, the Phone (3a) Pro takes it a step further with a more advanced setup, including a telephoto lens that offers enhanced zoom capabilities. The Pro model also features a 50MP front facing camera. 

In terms of the camera setup, the Phone (3a) has a pill-shaped triple-camera setup while the Phone (3a) Pro adopts a large circular camera island.

Performance, Design

At the heart of both devices lies the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, ensuring smooth and efficient performance for everyday tasks and demanding applications. Running on Android 15 with NothingOS 3.1, users can expect a refined and intuitive software experience. Both devices feature 6.77-inch OLED displays with a 2,392-by-1,080-pixel resolution, an adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz, and a maximum brightness of 3,000 nits when playing HDR content.

Staying true to its unique design philosophy, Nothing has incorporated an enhanced Glyph Interface into the (3a) and (3a) Pro. This distinctive feature, with its customizable LED lights, provides users with a visually engaging way to receive notifications and alerts. The transparent back design continues to be a major stylistic feature.

AI Integration: “Essential Space” , “Essential Key”

Nothing is pushing forward with AI integration. A new feature called “Essential Space” acts as an AI-powered hub, designed to organize and store various types of information, from notes and screenshots to ideas. Complementing this is the “Essential Key,” a dedicated button that provides quick access to the “Essential Space” app, streamlining user interaction.

Battery and Support

Both the Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro are equipped with a robust 5000mAh battery, ensuring all-day usage. Additionally, they support 50W wired fast charging, allowing users to quickly replenish their battery when needed.

Nothing is committed to providing long-term software support, with both phones promised to receive three years of major OS upgrades.
