TECNO has unveiled its highly anticipated CAMON 40 series at Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona 2025, marking a significant leap in mobile photography and AI-driven communication. This flagship series promises to revolutionize the way users capture and share moments, with a suite of innovative features powered by advanced artificial intelligence.
This series had four models namely CAMON 40, CAMON 40 Pro, CAMON 40 Pro 5G and CAMON 40 Premier 5G.
Similarity and Differences

The TECNO CAMON 40 and CAMON 40 Pro share many core features, including a 6.78-inch AMOLED display, a 120Hz refresh rate , a MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate processor, and a 5,200mAh battery with 45W fast charging. Both also boast a 50MP main camera with OIS and an 8MP wide-angle lens. They differ in selfie camera resolution, with the CAMON 40 Pro offering 50MP compared to CAMON 40’s 32MP. The CAMON 40 Pro 5G elevates the experience with a 144Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, and IP68/69 water and dust resistance, which is present on all models except the base CAMON 40.
The TECNO CAMON 40 Premier stands out with its 6.67-inch 1.5K display with refresh rate of 144Hz, boasting a 94% screen-to-body ratio and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. Powered by the Dimensity 8350 Ultimate, it offers enhanced performance, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage. Its camera setup includes a 50MP main shooter with the Sony LYT-701, a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto lens with OIS, and a 50MP wide-angle. Despite a slightly smaller 5,100mAh battery, it compensates with faster 70W charging.

AI- Enhanced Photography, Communication
The CAMON 40 series places AI at the heart of its imaging capabilities, delivering exceptional results in various scenarios. The “One-Tap FlashSnap” enables users to capture fleeting moments with unparalleled clarity, ensuring sharp and detailed images of fast-moving subjects. The Advanced AI Image Processing enhances image quality by reducing noise, improving detail, and optimizing color accuracy. Meanwhile, the CAMON 40 Pro 5G’s receives DXOMARK recognition, which validates TECNO’s commitment to delivering top-tier imaging performance.
The CAMON 40 series also extends its AI prowess to communication, offering innovative features that enhance the calling experience. Some of the features include AI Noise Cancellation, Real-Time Call Translation and Automated Call Summaries.


Expanding AI Horizon: Wearables and Beyond
Besides the launching of the TECNO CAMON 40 series, TECNO is extending its AI ecosystem beyond smartphones, venturing into new product categories. TECNO has unveiled its AI Glasses into the wearable technology market, bringing advanced imaging capabilities to eyewear.TECNO also demonstrates its MEGABOOK S14 Laptop, which shows TECNO’s commitment to AI-enhanced productivity, with features like an AI voice assistant.
