New MateBook X Pro from Huawei features a 12th Gen Intel CPU.

Huawei just unveiled its flagship laptop, the MateBook X Pro. The new notebook houses a 12th Gen Intel Core CPU and comes in two new colors, Ink Blue and White, in addition to the traditional Space Grey hue. The notebook is composed of magnesium alloy and the micro-arc oxidation process, and it weighs only 1.26kg.

The Huawei MateBook X Pro 2022 includes a 14.2-inch 3.1K display with a screen-to-body ratio of 92.5% and a refresh rate of 90Hz for a more fluid user experience. In addition, the display is certified by TÜV Rheinland Eye Comfort3.0, which Huawei claims is a first among laptop displays. Huawei coated the MateBook X Pro’s screen with a Magnetically-controlled Nano Optical AR layer to curtail glare, which the company claims decreases light reflection by 60%.

It’s interesting to note that this laptop is equipped with 12th generation Intel Core processors, which have 1.6 more multi-core performance, 12 cores that are 3X more powerful, and 16 threads that are 2X more powerful than the previous generation.

Additionally, Huawei emphasized the audio and video capabilities of its new laptop. The laptop is equipped with six speakers and four microphones. It has an HD camera that enables AI capabilities such as backdrop switching and what Huawei refers to as hardware-level beauty upgrades along its top bezel. It also includes FollowCam and Eye Contact to personalize conference calls.

Huawei MateBook X Pro 2022 includes a Super Turbo technology that can analyze application circumstances and perform intelligent system optimization to achieve lower power consumption, greater energy efficiency, and enhanced performance. This notebook is also equipped with dual fans and VC cooling for optimum heat dissipation.

This flagship laptop is anticipated to be available in international markets. While we are still waiting for any information on when this model will be available in our shore, the availability and pricing in the China market has been announced and mind you, it’s far from cheap. The Huawei MateBook X Pro micro-velvet collector’s edition costs 11999 yuan (~RM7920), while the ordinary version costs 8999 yuan (~RM5940). How much do you think the price will be in Malaysia?
