Based on previous rumours suggest that Apple will launch the upcoming MacBook and iPad lineup in October special event. However recent reports say otherwise whereby Apple might opt for a quiet launch to release these upcoming products via a press release. To put it another way, Apple may not host a special event in October, as reported by Mark Gurman of Bloomberg.
With that being said, the September event marked the last event of this year where it introduced the iPhone 14 series, new Apple Watch models, and the second-generation AirPods Pro. Nevertheless, the remaining Apple products are rumoured to launch in October this year and as reported by Gurman in his most recent Power On newsletter that, “the company is likely to release its remaining 2022 products via press releases, updates to its website and briefings with select members of the press”.
On the other hand, Apple is anticipated to release its entry-level iPad lineup of the 10th-generation model with the A14 Bionic chipset. In addition to this, the new iPad Pro lineup is rumoured to feature displays of 11-inch and 12.9-inch, as well as the new M2 chip, both of these are expected to be introduced in October.
Other leaks indicate that Apple also will refresh the new entry-level MacBook Air and 13-inch Pro models backed with the new M2 chip whilst the only other Mac is anticipated to receive the new M2 chip is the Mac mini, which could be released in October. Additionally, Apple will release new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, both of which are expected to receive significant upgrades in comparison to the models released the year before. Under the hood, these new MacBook Pros will feature faster M2 Pro and M2 Max chips, in addition to some other upgrades.
