Official release of the Honor Tablet 8 with the Snapdragon 680 Soc in China.

The Honor Table 8 was formally unveiled in its home market of China. It is a successor for the Honor V7 tablet, which was released last year, as its name implies. In the Chinese market, the Honor Tablet 8 is currently up for pre-order.

The base model, which has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, costs 1,499 yuan (~RM988.34), but it will be on sale for 1,399 yuan (~RM921.56) during the pre-sale period. A model with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage is also available for 1,799 yuan (about ~RM1,184.23). The device’s top-end model configuration includes  8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage and costs 1,999 yuan (~RM1,313.34). The color options for all three models are Mint Green, Dawn Blue, and Dawn Gold.

In terms of its display, the Honor Tablet 8 includes a 12-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels where it boasts a 10:6 aspect ratio and 1.07 billion colors, along with a small 7.2mm bezel. The device’s internal storage capacity is 128GB, and powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor that can support up to 8GB of RAM. A 5 MP camera sensor is located on the back of the device and a 5 MP camera is located on the front for selfies and video calls.

On top of that, it also supports Rheinland hardware-level low blue light, Rheinland no flicker, and National Eye Engineering Center certification for eye protection. For a superior audio experience, it also supports DTS:X Ultrasound and Huawei’s Histen sound effects. The tablet runs Magic UI 6.1, which has multi-screen collaboration functionality, application split screen with free adjustment of three-speed windows, and new updated Smart desktop experiences. The Honor Tablet 8 is equipped by a 7,250mAh battery and has 22.5W rapid charging compatibility.
