HONOR Magic V3 Impressively Balance on World’s Tallest House of Cards!

The HONOR Magic V3 achieved a remarkable feat by balancing atop the tallest house of cards during a Guinness World Record challenge, establishing a new standard for ultra-lightness. Weighing just 226g, this latest foldable phone from HONOR is their thinnest, lightest, and toughest yet, surpassing its predecessor.

The challenge, done with Guinness World Record holder Bryan Berg, was livestreamed on HONOR Global’s YouTube and X (formerly Twitter) platform yesterday. Berg successfully constructed a 54-level house of cards in eight hours without using any glue. Upon completion of building the tallest house of cards, he placed the HONOR Magic V3 on top. The structure remained stable, showcasing the foldable’s impressive lightweight design and innovative engineering.

The Ultimate Durability Test

The HONOR Magic V3 sets a new standard for sleekness with its ultra-thin design, measuring only 9.2mm when folded and a remarkably slim 4.35mm when unfolded. To highlight its durability, HONOR even put the device through a 15-minute washing machine test.

Super Fiber material

The back cover of the HONOR Magic V3 is made from a special fiber derived from aerospace materials, boasting an impressive strength of 5800MPa. This material is stronger than both Kevlar and carbon fiber, ensuring the device is both lightweight and highly durable.

HONOR is the first smartphone brand to use this advanced fiber, resulting in a body that is 40 times more impact-resistant than the Samsung S24 Ultra and 40% thinner, making it capable of enduring even the harshest conditions.

Super Steel Hinge

The HONOR Magic V3’s durability is anchored by the industry-leading HONOR Super Steel Hinge, crafted from Second-generation HONOR Super Steel. This material has a tensile strength of 2100MPa, surpassing the 1600MPa strength of Samsung Z Fold6’s steel hinge.

HONOR has optimized the internal space for structural reinforcement, by reducing the hinge body thickness to an industry-best 2.84mm, boosting the device’s overall resilience.The hinge can endure up to 500,000 folds and has received the SGS Durability Certification, further affirming the device’s exceptional durability and reliability.

Anti-Scratch NanoCrystal Shield

The HONOR Magic V3’s 6.43-inch external display is reinforced with the HONOR Anti-Scratch NanoCrystal Shield, providing 10 times more resistance to drops and scratches than standard glass.

With a crystal density 50% higher than typical materials, the display is built to endure accidental drops and everyday wear and tear, offering exceptional protection and ensuring the device stays pristine even in tough conditions.

IPX8 Water Resistant

The HONOR Magic V3 establishes a new standard for water resistance in foldable smartphones with its IPX8 rating, the highest for a foldable device.  It can withstand submersion in water up to 2.5 meters deep, making it safe for light rain, spills, and even full submersion, as shown in the washing machine test.
