Xiaomi is the next company to unveil a foldable flagship – Mix Fold 2

After the recent announcements that foldable flagship smartphones from Samsung and Motorola would soon be released, it is now Xiaomi’s turn to present its next foldable flagship, the Mix Fold 2, which is slated to arrive on August 11.

A teaser poster for the phone was published by the company on its Weibo account. The image featured on the teaser appears to be the metallic hinge of the phone. Besides the fact that Xiaomi has teamed up with Leica on the Mix Fold 2, the poster doesn’t reveal anything else.

According to reports, the Mix Fold 2 is anticipated to adopt the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3’s design. That implies you may anticipate a device that folds inward and has a display on the outside. As per leaks, the new foldable phone would include an 8-inch folding screen and a 6.5-inch cover display. The 60Hz refresh rate of the original Mix Fold could be increased to 120Hz on both panels. Additionally, it appears like Xiaomi has introduced LTPO technology and improved the creasing on the flexible screen.

Based on a teaser video that was released by @universelce, the Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 appears surprisingly similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 4, despite being significantly slimmer. Also, it looks like each half of the MIX Fold 2 is just a little bit thicker than the USB Type-C port. Furthermore, it lacks a notch or punch-hole on the inner screen and only has a centered punch-hole screen on the cover display. The Xiaomi foldable will include a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, 12GB of RAM, and 512GB/1TB of storage.

On the other hand, similar to the Motorola RAZR 2022 that will first be made available in China. As with the Xiaomi MIX Fold 2, there is no information regarding the global availability of the device.
