The OPPO A17 is now available in Malaysia with a Premium Leather-Feel design at a price tag of RM599.

Oppo Malaysia has announced the release of the OPPO A17 for the local market as part of the new addition of its A-series smartphone lineup. This new budget smartphone features a premium design with two camera islands, a massive long-lasting battery, and other features.

The Oppo A17 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G35 processor and comes with 4GB of RAM. Additionally, the device supports OPPO’s RAM Expansion technology, which allows the user to add up to 4GB of extended RAM to the device by utilizing its 64GB of internal storage space. The smartphone has a thickness of 8.3mm, and a weight of 189 grams, with a retro design that is pretty slim while also having the feel of premium leather.

Display-wise, the A17 sports a 6.56-inch IPS LCD screen that has a resolution of 720 x 1612, and it supports a Colour Rich Eye-Care Display that has a high-color gamut that is 100% DCI-P3 and intelligent dimming. On the front display, there is a water drop notch in the top center that houses a 5MP camera for taking selfies. On the back, there is a dual-camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary camera. 

Other features that are worth mentioning include a massive battery capacity of 5000 mAh, water resistance of IPX4, and USB-C. The smartphone is offered in two different color options, which are Lake Blue and Midnight Black. Additionally, the rear cover of the device is made of synthetic leather to give the impression of a premium leather design. The device can be purchased for RM599 in a single 4GB RAM + 64GB storage configuration.
