What happens when cutting-edge robotics meets Malaysia’s biggest National Day celebrations?
This Merdeka season, HONOR Malaysia is taking things up a notch by bringing its self-developed humanoid robots, HONOR Robotics A1 and D1, to Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.
The robots are set to make their international debut at the Malaysia Marathon 2026 on 30 August, before joining the National Day celebrations at Dataran Putrajaya on 31 August 2026.
And yes, Malaysians will actually get the chance to see these futuristic robots up close!
HONOR Robotics A1 & D1 Are Coming to Malaysia
For the first time outside China, HONOR’s humanoid robots will be showcased in action right here in Malaysia.
The appearance follows D1’s performance at the 2nd Beijing E-Town Humanoid Robot Half-Marathon, where the robot competed on a real race route and demonstrated its ability to move across different terrain.
Now, the spotlight moves to Malaysia.
HONOR’s participation highlights its focus on bringing emerging technologies closer to everyday consumers, while giving Malaysians a glimpse of what the future of smart technology and robotics could look like.

The route starts at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur at 12:00 AM on 30 August, giving D1 the opportunity to put its mobility, balance and ability to navigate different surfaces to the test.
It’s definitely not your typical marathon participant!
A1 Joins the 5KM Run
