OPPO is making a significant impact at the 2025 Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR) in Nashville, USA, highlighting its advancements in AI technology. The company is presenting ten accepted research papers and showcasing its latest AI-powered smartphones, including the upcoming Reno14 Series and the flagship Find X8 Ultra.
Pioneering Research in AI Vision
OPPO’s commitment to AI research is evident with ten papers from its Research Institute and various R&D teams accepted at CVPR 2025. These papers cover crucial areas like image restoration, image processing, image super-resolution, and content generation, demonstrating OPPO’s cutting-edge work in mobile AI and computer vision.
Notably, OPPO has introduced an industry-first DiT-based architecture for AI video generation. This innovative approach allows for simultaneous control over character motion and camera trajectory, addressing conflicts through a unique decouple-and-fuse strategy with dynamic masks. This significantly enhances video stability and generation quality.

In image processing, OPPO has developed the first large-scale, high-resolution fine-grained semantic segmentation dataset and model, balancing accuracy with computational efficiency. OPPO also proposed a novel training method to transfer fine segmentation capabilities to broader image categories, with potential applications in image understanding and partition optimization. These research contributions underscore OPPO’s leadership in AI vision and lay the groundwork for future AI phone advancements.

Driving Industry-Academic Collaboration
OPPO is actively fostering collaboration between academia and industry by co-hosting two significant AI challenges during CVPR 2025. The Hong Kong Polytechnic University–OPPO Joint Innovation Research Centre, in collaboration with OPPO Research Institute’s Y-Lab and PolyU’s Visual Computing Lab, co-hosted the second NTIRE RAIM Challenge, focusing on generalizable image restoration.
Additionally, the OPPO AI Center partnered with the University of Würzburg’s Visual Computing Lab to co-organize the inaugural NTIRE SIRR Challenge, establishing benchmarks for reflection removal in natural images. These initiatives reinforce OPPO’s dedication to supporting a robust global AI developer ecosystem.
AI Phones at the Forefront of Innovation
OPPO is showcasing its next-generation AI phones at CVPR 2025, drawing significant attention from researchers and industry leaders. The lineup includes the Reno14 Series, Find X8 Ultra, and Find N5, all featuring system-level AI innovations.
The Find X8 Ultra, OPPO’s most advanced AI phone, introduces the LUMO Imaging System. This system integrates advanced hardware with computational photography and debuts the industry’s first full-chain ProXDR display technology, setting a new benchmark for mobile portrait imaging quality. The upcoming Reno14 series will also feature OPPO’s proprietary AI Editing tools, such as AI Eraser, AI Reflection Remover, AI Unblur, AI Perfect Shot, and AI Recompose, enabling users to effortlessly enhance imperfect photos.

Global Expansion Through AI Innovation
CVPR 2025 marks OPPO’s third major international AI showcase this year, following its presence at MWC and Google Cloud Next 2025. During MWC 2025, OPPO unveiled an enhanced AI strategy aimed at delivering comprehensive, secure, and continuously evolving AI solutions focused on AI Productivity, AI Creativity, and AI Imaging. OPPO plans to bring generative AI capabilities to nearly 100 million global users by the end of 2025 and is actively collaborating with global partners like Google, Microsoft, MediaTek, and Qualcomm to explore broader possibilities for AI phones.
