Qualcomm is gearing up to announce its upcoming flagship system on a chip (SoC), referred as Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 during November’s event. The long wait is almost over, but apparently a recent rumor has surfaced reporting that Qualcomm will launch two versions of the next Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
According to a reliable tipster, Digital Chat Station, who shared the information on Weibo. It was said that, one of them will have a standard chipset, and the other will have an ultra-high frequency chip that can operate at speeds of 3.4 to 3.5 GHz. When compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 that is currently available, it operates at 3.19GHz.
There is a possibility that this rumor was not true, despite the fact that the news might be exciting, because it would not make any sense for Qualcomm to launch two chipsets at the same time. In addition to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 rumor, the tipster also stated that Mediatek’s upcoming Dimensity chip would significantly boost CPU performance.
