Xiaomi’s 210W Fast Charger will set a new record to charge your phone from 0 to 100% in less than 8 minutes?

Many smartphone manufacturers have competed to produce super fast chargers for their customers and in July, Vivo has launched iQOO 10 Pro which features 200W fast charging that claimed to be able to powered up the devices to 100% in just as little as 10 minutes, which currently hold the records of the world fastest charger.

According to a recent leak, Xiaomi has obtained certification for its first 210W charger, and it appears that the firm will take a significant step forward. Despite the fact that the manufacturer presently only includes a 120-watt charger which is the fastest charger that the company offers in the box, the recent rumour of super fast charger has gained the Chinese 3C certification under the identifier Xiaomi MDY-13-EU.

Interestingly, this is not the first time Xiaomi debuted a high-capacity rapid charge. In May 2021, the tech giant uploaded a short demonstration video where a modified Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro is shown charging its complete battery with a 200W rapid charger in short as 8 minutes. Unfortunately, following the announcement, Xiaomi did not introduce a gadget that supports 200W rapid charging.

Now, news of a new rapid charge that can deliver 210W of power has recently obtained certification from Xiaomi and it seems the charger may actually be put on the market, and you’re undoubtedly wondering how long it will take this time to fully charge a smartphone to 100%, but the company is likely to break the 8-minute record. The 8 or 7 minute charging times are based on 4,000 mAh batteries, as a result, they may vary if the battery size is larger. With this kind of charging speed, using smaller batteries is advised.

Xiaomi may be planning to implement this faster charging speed in future smartphones and the closest flagship smartphone appears to be the Xiaomi 13 or Xiaomi 13 Ultra which has the potential to set a charging speed record.
