HONOR’s Advanced Manufacturing Showcased to Malaysian Ambassador

Last week, following the Malaysian launch of its ultra-slim HONOR Magic V5 foldable smartphone, the Malaysian Ambassador to China, Dato’ Norman Muhamad, toured HONOR’s L4 AI manufacturing factory in Shenzhen, China. This facility, located within HONOR’s Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park, is highly automated and uses AI to produce foldable smartphones, including the Magic V5.

Commendation for Innovation and Technology

During his visit, Norman praised HONOR’s advanced manufacturing capabilities and ongoing innovation. He specifically highlighted the company’s technological strength and product competitiveness, which are key aspects of its “Alpha Plan” strategy. He expressed his hope that more of HONOR’s cutting-edge products, like the Magic V5, would become available to consumers in Malaysia and across the ASEAN region, contributing to the development of the local digital economy.

Comprehensive Product Ecosystem and Manufacturing Prowess

The tour also included a visit to HONOR’s Products Exhibition Hall, where Norman learned about the company’s holistic approach to innovation, encompassing simulation, algorithm development, new materials research, and advanced connectivity. He also experienced HONOR’s extensive product ecosystem, demonstrating the brand’s ambitions beyond just smartphones.

Launched in 2021, HONOR’s Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park exemplifies AI-driven manufacturing. With a 75% automated production line, partially developed by HONOR’s own research and design team, the factory achieves impressive precision with assembly tolerances as fine as 75 microns. This efficiency allows the factory to produce a smartphone every 28.5 seconds.
