It’s finally here! The new HONOR X9d 5G has launched in Malaysia, maintaining its affordable price point starting at RM1,499. This latest model offers 10 major upgrades over its predecessor, focusing on durability, battery life, display, chipset, and more. It is being marketed as a leading smartphone in its class for both durability and performance.

Pre-Order Benefits

Customers who pre-order the HONOR X9d 5G before 9th October, 2025, will receive free gifts valued at RM1,146. This package includes an HONOR Pad X7 tablet and three exclusive protection policies: a 365-day Front and Back Crack Protection, a 1-Year Extended Warranty, and a 1-Year Liquid Damage Protection Warranty. The phone can be pre-ordered from HONOR’s official stores, as well as authorized dealers like DirectD.

Enhanced Durability

The HONOR X9d 5G introduces several key durability improvements. Its screen is made from ultra-deep tempered glass with Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus® 2, providing a 31% deeper tempering depth for increased strength against drops. The phone also features a new flat display design, which further improves durability compared to a curved screen.

For internal protection, the device uses an industry-first aerospace-grade non-Newtonian fluid layer that hardens on impact, offering up to 300% greater shock absorption. This, combined with a 6-layer shock-absorption framework, results in a 112% improvement in overall shock protection.

Waterproof and Dustproof

The phone has also achieved an industrial-grade IP69K water resistance rating, allowing it to withstand extreme conditions, including submersion up to 6 meters. A new Drainage and Dust Removal function uses vibrations to expel moisture and debris. These features have earned the device the SGS Triple-Resistant Premium Performance Certification, and HONOR is offering a 1-Year Liquid Damage Protection Warranty with its purchase.

• AI Imaging: The phone features a 108MP Ultra-Sensing Camera with a large sensor and OIS + EIS stabilization. It also includes advanced AI tools like AI Eraser and AI Cutout for easy photo editing.
• Leading Display: The device has a 6.79-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution, 6,000 nits peak brightness, and a 3,840Hz PWM dimming rate. It also has multiple eye-comfort features to reduce strain.
• Powerful Chipset: Powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset, the phone promises fast performance and multitasking. The new Lightweight OS Engine and HONOR VC Ice Cooling System further enhance its speed and efficiency.
