AMD has recently introduced its new AMD EPYC™ 4005 Series processors. These processors are specifically designed to provide appropriately scaled solutions with enterprise-level capabilities and top-tier performance for small to medium-sized businesses and companies offering hosted IT services.
The AMD EPYC 4005 Series CPUs offer the necessary performance, features, and efficiency for expanding businesses to manage a range of tasks, including enterprise applications, virtualized environments, and consistent, cloud-based hosted services. Leveraging the same established and widely used AM5 socket as the AMD EPYC 4004 Series CPUs, the EPYC 4005 Series presents an advanced computing solution suitable for various enterprise-grade hardware designs like servers, blade systems, and tower units. Notably, in tests conducted using the Phoronix test suite, the 16-core EPYC 4565P outperformed Intel’s highest-performing 6th generation Xeon 6300P by a factor of 1.83.
“Growing businesses and dedicated hosters often face significant constraints around budget, complexity, and deployment timelines,” said Derek Dicker, corporate vice president, Enterprise and HPC Business Group, AMD. “With the latest AMD EPYC 4005 Series CPUs, we are delivering the right balance of performance, simplicity, and affordability, giving our customers and system partners the ability to deploy enterprise-class solutions that solve everyday business challenges.”
