HONOR X9 Series Crowned ASEAN’s Top-Selling Mid-Range Smartphone Series

HONOR has achieved another major milestone as the HONOR X9 Series earns official recognition from ASEAN Records as the Top-Selling Mid-Range Smartphone Series in Southeast Asia. This prestigious acknowledgment underscores the X9 lineup’s remarkable success particularly the HONOR X9a, X9b, and X9c which have dominated the Malaysian mid-range smartphone market with their winning blend of durability, innovation, and value.

ASEAN Records, renowned for documenting outstanding achievements across the region, presented the award to Tan Pei Ling, Head of Channel Sales at HONOR Malaysia, during the HONOR X9d 5G Roadshow at IOI Mall Puchong. The award was handed over by Gillian Ooi and Eldrick Koh, Managing Directors of ASEAN Records, marking a proud moment for the brand and its supporters.

Since its introduction in 2022, the HONOR X9 Series has steadily risen to prominence, winning over consumers with its toughness, reliability, and high performance. Its market share has climbed dramatically from 33% in 2023 to 56% in 2025, meaning that one in every two mid-range smartphones sold in Malaysia today belongs to the HONOR X9 family.

Adding to the celebration, the newly launched HONOR X9d 5G has already achieved a complete pre-order sell-out before its official release, surpassing the record set by the X9c 5G.

Now available nationwide, the HONOR X9d 5G features 24GB RAM (inclusive of 12GB HONOR Turbo RAM) and 256GB storage, priced at RM1,499, while the 512GB variant retails at RM1,699.
