HONOR has officially begun the rollout of MagicOS 10 for Malaysian users, starting January 2026. The latest operating system is based on Android 16 and brings a refreshed interface, improved performance and new AI-powered features across supported HONOR smartphones.
At the moment, the HONOR Magic8 Pro is the first device to ship with MagicOS 10, with the update expected to reach more HONOR models in stages throughout 2026.
New UI with Better Power Efficiency
MagicOS 10 introduces a lighter-looking user interface with transparent design elements, offering a cleaner and more intuitive experience. HONOR also claims the update delivers lower power consumption, helping devices last longer on a single charge.
For gamers, MagicOS 10 adds a feature that allows games to stay active and connected even when the screen is turned off, helping to maintain performance while reducing battery drain.
AI Features for Photography
HONOR is also expanding its AI photography capabilities with MagicOS 10. The new Magic Pose feature uses AI to suggest real-time poses, making it easier for users to capture better-looking photos without feeling awkward in front of the camera.
Meanwhile, Magic Color allows users to apply cinematic-style colour tones to photos instantly, giving images a more professional, film-like appearance.
OneTap Enables File Sharing with iPhone
With OneTap, HONOR users can now transfer files between HONOR smartphones and iPhones with just a single tap. This feature is designed to improve cross-platform compatibility for users who rely on multiple devices.
Improved Scam Protection and Live Call Translation
On the security front, MagicOS 10 comes with an enhanced AI Deepfake Detection feature that can now detect digitally altered faces during live video calls, including scenarios involving multiple participants.
HONOR has also added real-time call translation, allowing users to translate phone calls instantly across different languages — a useful tool for international travel and cross-border communication.
