vivo X Fold5: Global Release Anticipated with Innovative Features

Hold on tight vivo fans as vivo is expected to deliver its new foldable internationally this year, just like it did with the X Fold3 Pro!

While official details remain under wraps, the company has been actively teasing the device’s capabilities on Chinese social media, showcasing features designed to set it apart from competitors like the Oppo Find N5, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6, and Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

Introducing Atomic Workbench and Configurable Side Button

Through its latest promotional video, one of the highlighted innovations is Atomic Workbench. It is a multitasking interface that allows users to display up to four background applications as cards alongside a primary foreground application. This feature, reminiscent of Apple’s Stage Manager, offers flexible layouts that adapt based on the device’s orientation (landscape or portrait).

Furthermore, the promotional video confirms the X Fold5 will forgo an alert slider, a staple of some other brands. Instead, vivo has implemented a configurable side button, offering nearly a dozen customizable options. This marks the X Fold5 as the first foldable to adopt such a feature, which has become increasingly prevalent in flagship smartphones since Apple introduced the Action Button with the iPhone 15 series.

The vivo X Fold5 is slated for its initial launch in China on June 25.
