OPPO has introduced the A6x, a phone that leans into practicality while adding a little style on the outside. It comes in two distinct finishes: Ice Blue, which carries a layered, matte look inspired by glacier-like textures, light scatters across it almost like frosted glass; and Plum Purple, a deeper shade with titanium undertones that gives off a darker, night-inspired vibe.

At the front, the A6x features a 120Hz Ultra Bright Display, a welcome addition for smoother scrolling and better visibility outdoors. Speaking of longevity, the phone also houses a 6500 mAh battery, which, based on OPPO’s figures, offers around 13.3 hours of online video playback, 9.6 hours of MOBA gaming, 38.2 hours of screen-off calling, and up to 880 hours of standby time. There’s also reverse charging, so the A6x can act as a power bank when needed.

Under the hood, it runs on the Snapdragon 685 4G Mobile Platform, designed to deliver stable performance and quicker responses for everyday use. The device is also rated IP64, meaning it’s built to handle dust and the occasional splash. Features like Outdoor Mode 2.0 (which boosts screen brightness) and GloveTouch, which keeps the display responsive even with gloves on, make it a bit more versatile for outdoor users.
The camera setup stays simple with a 13MP Ultra-Clear rear camera, focusing on clarity rather than complex lens systems. As for storage, the A6x comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB ROM, enough for basic apps, photos, and general use.
The OPPO A6x is priced at RM399. For those interested, more details are available on the DirectD platform.
