Nothing has officially expanded its audio portfolio with the launch of Headphone (a), a vibrant addition to their over-ear lineup. Marrying the brand’s iconic transparent design language with a bold new color palette, including Pink, Yellow, White, and Black, the Headphone (a) is positioned as a high-resolution audio accessory that doubles as a fashion statement.
Design and All-Day Comfort
The Headphone (a) maintains Nothing’s aesthetic evolution while prioritizing ergonomics. Weighing in at just 310g, the device features breathable memory foam cushions designed for extended wear. It is also built for durability, boasting an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance, making it resilient against sweat during workouts or unpredictable weather.
Unrivaled Battery Performance
Setting a new benchmark for endurance, the Headphone (a) offers an industry-leading 135 hours (5 days) of continuous playback with ANC turned off. This massive battery life is supported by a rapid-charging feature: a mere 5-minute charge yields 5 hours of listening time, ensuring users are rarely tethered to a power outlet.
Intuitive Tactile Controls
Moving away from finicky touch interfaces, Nothing utilizes physical controls integrated into the ear cups. The Roller, Paddle, and Button system provides precise tactile feedback for volume and media navigation. New features include:
- Channel Hop: Allows users to skip through apps and functions via The Button.
- Camera Shutter Mode: Enables the Button to act as a remote trigger for capturing photos or videos on a paired smartphone.
High-Fidelity Sound and Adaptive AI
Equipped with 40mm titanium-coated drivers and Hi-Res Audio Wireless (LDAC) certification, the Headphone (a) delivers detailed, distortion-free sound. The listening experience is further enhanced by Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which uses AI to adjust noise suppression based on the environment and fit. For communication, a 3-mic AI algorithm isolates the user’s voice from background noise, ensuring clear calls even in loud settings.
Customization and Availability
Users can further tailor their audio via the Nothing X app, which features a professional 8-band Advanced EQ and a real-time Bass Enhancement algorithm. These profiles can be saved and shared within the Nothing community.
Availability
While the Headphone (a) will be available in four colors globally, specific pricing and availability for the Malaysian market will be officially revealed on 1 April, 2026.
